In cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, White-Rogers is undertaking a corrective action plan that affects the 1F8X-04XX model thermostats. White-Rogers has determined that there is a potential fire hazard if the thermostat is used with a “C” wired connection to the HVAC 24 VAC transformer and the AA alkaline batteries in the thermostat leak. The affected models are pictured below.
